Buddha first rolled the Wheel of Truth in Isipatana Deer Park, Sarnath.

Isipatana (lit: "Place of the Seers") at Sarnath is the site of the famous Migadaya
or Deer Park near Benares (Varanasi) . It was there Gotama Buddha preached his first
sermon on this very full moon day, the Dhammacakkappavattana Sutta to his 5 friends,
the Pañcavaggiya monks, thereby setting in Motion the Wheel of Truth! This location is
one of the 4 Sacred Buddhist Pilgrimage sites: Lumbini, Bodh Gaya, Sarnath, Kusinara.
